Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Bido. By using the bot or this website you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.

The service

Bido monitors new job postings on Upwork, scores them against the public profile you provide, and sends you the ones that fit as Telegram messages. That is the whole of the service. Bido does not submit anything on your behalf, and does not connect to or act on your Upwork account.

In these terms, "we" and "us" mean the operator of Bido, and "you" means the person using it.

No affiliation with Upwork

Bido is an independent service. It is not endorsed by, sponsored by, affiliated with or otherwise connected to Upwork Global Inc. "Upwork" is their trademark and is used here only to identify the platform Bido reads. You remain responsible for complying with Upwork's own terms of service in how you use anything Bido sends you.

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Bido. You may hold one account, and you are responsible for activity carried out through it.

You must give a public Upwork profile that is genuinely yours, or an accurate description of your own work.

Fees

Bido is free during early access. No payment details are required, there is no trial period to cancel, and nothing will begin charging you automatically.

Availability

We may change, suspend or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, at any time. This includes the ability to receive messages from Bido.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

In particular, we do not warrant that every job matching your profile will reach you, that messages will be delivered within any given time, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that using it will result in work. Match scoring is an automated assessment and will sometimes be wrong, both by sending a job that does not suit you and by omitting one that does.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost work, lost income, lost opportunities, missed job postings, or any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the service or from its unavailability.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Suspension and termination

You may pause the bot at any time to stop receiving messages while keeping your setup, or ask it to delete your account, in which case the account and the information tied to it are removed.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, or if we cease offering the service. Where we reasonably can, we will give notice through the bot.

Your information

Our handling of your information is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms, and the privacy policy, at any time and without further notice to you. We may do so to reflect changes to the service, to our operations or security, or to comply with a legal or regulatory requirement.

The version published on this page is always the current one, and the date shown at the top of it is the date from which it applies. It is your responsibility to check this page. Your continued use of the bot or this website after that date constitutes your acceptance of the amended terms.

If you do not accept them, stop using the service and ask the bot to delete your account. This section does not override a commitment expressly given elsewhere in these terms, including the notice we give before introducing fees.
