Privacy policy

Bido needs very little about you. This policy sets out what is collected, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What Bido never asks for

Bido does not ask for your Upwork password, an Upwork API key, or any access to your Upwork account. It reads your public profile from the URL you give it, in the same way anyone holding that link could. There is nothing to revoke, because nothing was granted.

Information we collect

When you visit this website. We keep a short record of the visit: your IP address, the country you connected from, and the standard technical information a browser sends with every request, such as the browser and language it reports.

When you use the bot. We keep the account details Telegram provides to any bot you message; the public Upwork profile URL you give us, or the description you write instead; your preferences; and the matches we have sent you together with any feedback you give on them.

We do not use analytics scripts, advertising pixels, third-party trackers or session recording on this website, and we do not send your information to an analytics provider.

Cookies

We set one cookie. It records which link brought you to the site, so that if you sign up later the person who referred you is credited. It expires after 90 days and holds no information about you personally. We set no other cookies, and no third party sets cookies through this site. You can clear it at any time without affecting the service.

How we use it

To provide the service and improve the quality of the matches we send you; to understand which referral links and pages bring people to Bido; and to detect and prevent abuse.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not make it available for training anyone else's models.

Who else receives it

Telegram delivers every message the bot sends you and handles it under its own privacy policy. Cloudflare serves the connection to this website. Our database runs on infrastructure we rent and control. No one else receives your information, and we have no advertising or data-broker relationships.

How long we keep it

Account information is retained for as long as your account exists. Records of website visits are retained while they remain useful for attribution and security, and removed after that. If you ask the bot to delete your account, the account and the information tied to it are removed.

Your choices

• Pause. Stops the messages and keeps your setup.
• Delete. Ask the bot, and your account and its information are removed.
• Access and correction. Ask the bot for a copy of the information held about you, or to correct it.

If you are in the UK or EU

We rely on performance of a contract, in order to provide the service you asked for, and on our legitimate interests in attribution, security and match quality. You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict and port your information, and to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Bido is intended for people working on Upwork and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time and without further notice to you. The version published on this page is always the current one, and the date shown at the top of it is the date from which it applies. It is your responsibility to check this page.

Your continued use of the service after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not accept it, stop using the service and ask the bot to delete your account.
